Overnight Fishing Trip    with two Boats

With this unique excursion you combine both: Fishing off a pirogue with a pro for the gentleman and comfort of a sailing Catamaran for the lady.

This trip takes you to Tobago’s North Coast to the best fishing grounds. Enjoy our delicious dinner and a peaceful night or two aboard Catamaran Picante.

Experience the professional services of an experienced angler on a high powered fishing boat with the flexibility of various types of fishing: trolling, live bait fishing, jigging and banking. The “Mama Mia” is a custom built 28” pirogue with twin 85 hp engines, equipped with center console, wide gunwale and modern instruments. She is designed as a shallow/open water hybrid and combines the wave-cutting prow of the traditional fishing pirogue with a broad beam for comfort and safety in our Tobago waters.

Sailing Cataraman Picante is your “mother ship” for this unique overnight charter. She is a custom built 42” Simpson sailing catamaran with two 30 hp engines, two trampolines are at the front, perfect for dolphin watching in the day and star gazing at night.  Two double (queen size) guest cabins with toilet and sink. Fully equipped kitchen with a salon, ideal for the chef liming with the guests while preparing the meals.

We offer you on the first day a fishing tour of about 4 hours aboard …. And then meet with the catamaran in a sheltered bay to enjoy the afternoon and a fully cooked dinner on board after enjoying one of Tobago’s stunning sunsets and a refreshing rum punch. Spend the night in our comfortable guest cabin and after an early breakfast spend another half day in another area for some more excellent fishing.

2 days and 1 night

Day 1: Store Bay to Castara and return on day 2

This trip of a lifetime starts in PICANTE's home anchorage of Store Bay. We can pick you up at your hotel and once you have checked in - you will be given a safety briefing along with a welcome drink.
Then it is time to sail up Tobago ́s Caribbean Sea coast to the sleeping fishing village Castara. Once the anchor is dropped you can snorkel around the boat, kayak around the bay or just relax in the shade.
A short walk from the beach is the Castara waterfall, right on the edge of Tobago ́s rainforest. Take a refreshing swim in the fresh pool water.
A sumptuous dinner will be served onboard, it might include catch of the day if you ́ve been lucky!

Day 1: see above for the 2 day trip

Day 2: Castara to Charlotteville/Pirate’s Bay and return on day 3 Store Bay

The fishermen take an early breakfast, and take along their snacks, sandwiches for the second fishing expedition with them.

On board Picante enjoy a full breakfast a little later before we set sail and take you further up the Northern Coast of Tobago, passing beautiful Englishman’s Bay, and then Parlatuvier with the famous Sister Isles where we often encounter Tobago's dolphins. They love to ride the waves beside PICANTE. Lie on the trampolines and experience the magic of these amazing creatures as they follow us on our journey.
A further four hour sail from here will take us to the idyllic, quaint fishing village of Charlottesville.
The overnight anchorage is Pirate ́s Bay, rated as one of the ten best anchorages in the Caribbean. Here you can climb the steps at the bottom of the bay to take in the stunning views or snorkel around the coral heads. After the fishermen return from their day out, take a refreshing swim in the clear waters, followed by another amazing sunset in the picturesque setting of the bay just outside Charlotteville. Dinner is served aboard Catamaran Picante and overnight on board.

Day 3: see above for the 2 day trip

Today after breakfast we set sail and enjoy a perfect sail downwind back to Store Bay where we arrive in time for a late lunch and meet up with the anglers.

Included in this custom designed package:

Daily 4 hour fishing trips aboard our professional fishing vessel Mama Mia with water and soft drinks, sandwiches and fruits, bait and lots of ice, fishing gear is provided for you, of course you can bring your own if you prefer.

2 or 3 days respectively aboard Catamaran Picante in one of our queen size double bed guest cabins, with 2 light lunches, one or two fully cooked dinners, breakfast on day 2 (and 3), snacks and fresh fruit, drinks from our bar include water, juices, soft drinks as well as beers and rum that we mix any style with our chasers provided.

US$ 950 for 2 persons per day.

Fishing extension is optional on spot for an additional charge of USD 100 per hour.
